These vessels have a similar profile to the Halcyon-class light cruiser, with a forward 'head' and large engine segment protected by armor cowlings, and a streamlined inwards-slanted underside.
The Dauntless-class is classified as a "Battlecruiser", yet it is part of the Rebel Alliance's capital ship line.Design details Superstructure and hull Īt 1,190 meters (3,904.199 feet) long, Marathon-class heavy cruisers are more than twice the length of a Paris-class heavy frigate. They were capital ships in all but name, and continued the curiously successful tradition of wartime civilian ship conversions that included the famous MC-80A "Home One." Though the Dauntless class of heavy cruisers were once luxury cruise ships, they found new life serving as potent and heavily defended warships capable of crushing all but the biggest Star Destroyers while being capable of taking unusually heavy punishment. However in the event it has its PD mode on, it wouldn't be able to take down much missiles due to the slow fire rate of said PD. Missiles work too as it would sometimes have no PD. (make sure the ships you use has good PD/fighters) Use capital ships to fight the Dauntless. Do not use small and agile ships as they will most likely be destroyed by its missiles or fighters.
If you have all fighters on defense, you can turn off PD mode. When sending out all fighters except A-wings(keep them on defense), make sure to turn your guns on PD mode to deter any spacefighter threats. You are dead the moment your shields die if you don't find cover.
Make sure you're near a teammate to support each other, or near debris to take cover and regenerate your shields.
Stick at medium range to deal damage to the enemy. It is suggested to use the Dauntless-class as a blockade runner because of its speed and high armament of weapons.
